5 WAYS TO BOOST FINE HAIR WITHOUT HOURS OF STYLING
Save hours of time with these transformative products to get that boost you're looking for;
01 SOME GIVE & TAKE IN THE SHOWER
Give a bit more attention to your shampoo and make sure it's a volumising shampoo, such as Kevin Murphy’s Plumping Wash or Angel Wash, or De Lorenzo’s Prescriptive Solutions Control Shampoo. Any of these will help to plump up your roots and nourish strands. They also have lightweight complimentary conditioners made just for fine hair. The trick is to take away from the amount of conditioner you use and only apply it to your mid-lengths and ends so roots don't get weighed down.
02 DRY SHAMPOO IS YOUR BEST FRIEND
Washing fine hair too frequently can leave it more limp so save time and wash every two to three days. Instead, make friends with a good dry shampoo such as Kevin Murphy's Fresh Air or De Lorenzo's Absorb. These mop up excess oils and create volume between washes. Also products like De Lorenzo's Elements powder can be applied to roots to give a quick volume boost.
03 TURN UP THE VOLUME AT STYLING TIME
Kevin Murphy and De Lorenzo have several great volumising styling products (see below), and if you blow-dry your hair upside down, then you'll really add some boost. Start with hot air and then use the cold blast to finish off before doing a boosted hair flip.
04 ALWAYS USE PROTECTION
Fine hair is more susceptible to breakage and damage especially when styling with heat, so if you use heated tools or blow dry often, make sure you use protection such as Kevin Murphy's Heated Defence or De Lorenzo's Defence Extinguish.
05 TREAT YOUR FINE SELF
Taking some time to treat your fine hair occasionally will save you in styling time in the long run. Bonding systems like Olaplex and De Lorenzo's Novaplex are great treatments that help to rebond split hairs and breakages, and work wonders on repairing over-processed fine hair.
